Latina stayed only a season in the A2. Indeed, it beat Gioia del Colle and won the playoff final series 2-1. This is the second time Latina goes back to the A1 through the playoffs after 2000-01. Once again, captain Giobini shined with 15 points but the whole team played well, with good perfroamnces at the net and on the serve. Gioia del Colle just couldn't cope with Latina's determination, who varied its attacking game a lot as Rosalba and Kovacevic's presence was felt too. On the other side of the net, only Dias was consistent, and the Brazilian was even limited by the opposite dig. Rosalba obtained the match point while the sold out crowd erupted on Niero's mistake on the serve which sent Latina right back in the elite. The season could not have gone any better. Latina won the Cup and returned to the A1: a great double!
