2009/2010 CEV Indesit Champions League - ΑΠΟΤΕΛΕΣΜΑΤΑ

Only a few may have predicted the results that marked the second night of play for the Playoffs 12 of the CEV Indesit Champions League. A total of three teams that stood initially out as real pre-favorites for a spot in the final stage of this elite competition, namely former champion Zenit KAZAN, VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN and Lube Banca Marche MACERATA are out of contention and their campaign in the European Cups came to an end in a dramatic way. A 3:2 victory was useless for the Tatars after they had suffered a 1:3 defeat last week in Greece against Olympiacos. On the other hand, ACH Volley BLED and Hypo Tirol INNSBRUCK wrote both history tonight as they qualified for the first time ever for the Playoffs 6, thus providing some enormous emotions for the Slovenian and Austrian Volleyball families respectively. The defending champions of TRENTINO BetClic and Poland’s Asseco Resovia RZESZOW continued on the right path and their clash in the Playoffs 6 promises to be as exciting as ever.
