Five stops of the NESTEA European Championship Tour have successfully been completed, but the main one is still to come, the NESTEA European Championship Final 2007 in Spanish Valencia, where the European beach volleyball champions 2007 will be crowned.
Having organised a Masters each year since 2004, Spain will this year welcome the best European beach duos for the most important Final from 23-26 August 2007 in Valencia (ESP). Who will capture Europe’s crown? Who will take home the four smart fortwo cars that will be rewarded to the top men’s and women’s team of the CEV European Ranking?
24 men’s and 24 women’s teams have secured a spot in the race for the 200’000 Euros in prize money and the European Championship title. Amongst the starters are defending champions Brink/Dieckmann (GER) and Shiryaeva/Uryadova (RUS) as well as the current smart European Ranking leaders Klemperer/Koreng and Holtwick/Semmler (both GER).
Gosch/Horst (AUT) and Gomes/Terceiro (GEO) received wild cards on the men’s side, whilst the women’s wild cards were given to Goller/Ludwig (GER) and Glesnes/Maaseide (NOR).
