World League Final Round. Russia and Brazil for the gold final

On Sunday at 20.00 hrs Russia and Brazil will go on the court for the 2007 World League title. Bronze medal match will be played at 17.00 hrs between U.S.A. and Poland. Russia in the Semi Finals got rid of U.S.A. 3-1, while Poland lost 3-1 against Brazil in a full packed Spodek hall in Katowice. It was their first defeat in all 2007 World League.

Russia had been 4 times in the World League final match and won the gold in 2002 against Brazil. Brazil has a long experience in World League since 1990: it’s a 6 times Champion, with 8 gold medal match played.

Russia – Brazil will be playing in a gold final Sunday (tomorrow) also in Morocco for the FIVB Men’s Junior World Championship.
